Anna Arrobas makes cinematic, swamp-dredged heartbreak ballads. Her band consists of Anna, Shane Hoy, Jesse Osborne-Lanthier, and Asaël Richard-Robitaille. Their upcoming record, Made To Touch, is the result of 2 years of scrupulous, hand-wrung production, mixing, and performance in the EA studios. The compositions range from ornamental melodic dreampop, to evocative otherworldly tearjerker folk, to dense “wall of sound” instrumentations Inspired by shoegaze and sludge metal, united by Anna’s haunting falsetto, cinematic barrages of intricate guitar, laced throughout immersive synths leads and glacial shimmering electronics. Made to Touch is produced by Jesse Osborne-Lanthier and Asaël Richard-Robitaille (who produced and played in Marie Davidson & L’Œil Nu) and mastered by critically acclaimed sound engineer Heba Kadry.
